My name is Melanie Osborne (feel free to call me Mel) and I established Amelo Gardens in 2001.

After finishing my first degree in Botany, I did a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture.

Sitting at a computer screen all day made me want to cry. I decided to get my hands dirty and bring my designs to life.

My first scary job was on a new housing site about 12 years ago, way before Charlie Dimmock had hit our TV screens!

We carry out all aspects of landscaping, including building brick walls, paving and decking.We also maintain about 10 acres of gardens, split between 2 gardens.

People like having us work for them because we are much quieter and tidier than most builders!

We pride ourselves on ensuring that we come and do a job when we say will, being punctual and we are always happy and approachable. We achieve this by only having one job on the go at any one time so you get our full attention.

Part of our policy is to provide free 2D plans of a new garden design. This gives you a good idea of how the garden will turn out without wasting money that could be spent on the garden itself.

I would like to introduce The Chief, the newest recruit to our team. He can have a ton in the back which means we can collect materials ourselves and not waste time waiting for deliveries (some of the time).
